Simsonar UVC for monitoring migratory fish when visibility is poor or the distance is long. UVC is based on ultrasound giving maximum distance of 80 meters (LR model).

Simsonar FC for monitoring fishways and small brooks. FC is based on stereo optics enabling optical video and automatic measurements. Advanced pattern recognition makes fish detection and measurement more accurate and faster.

Simsonar FC can be ordered with video tunnel that optimizes the distance and lighting to achieve optimum conditions for creating real time video of fish.

Cameras


Both UVC and FC systems contain three components: camera, power supply and PC.

Camera unit that are installed under the water. Image width of Simsonar Ultrasound Video Camera is from 64 to 96 degrees. The practical shooting distance is 50 meters (standard model) or 80 meters (Long Range model). Camera unit is connected to power supply unit (Land Level Unit, called LLU). The user interface runs on Windows 10 PC that is connected to LLU (and to camera) via ethernet.

Simsonar Underwater Video Camera (UVC) is based onthe low attenuation reflection system optimized for the wave nature of the sound.

The camera consists of three components: the actual sound transmitter and receiver including the reflectors, the underwater unit with the high capacity signal processing unit and the host processor installed in the underwater case, and the land level unit operated on land and connected to the underwater case with a CAT-5 cable.

The received echoes are processed and transferred from the underwater unit to the land level unit from where the signal is either transferred to the local PC or over the internet to the remote PC.
Simsonar UVC Application is Windows application handling the video stream from Simsonar UVC camera. Stream is shown on PC display in real time. The moving objects are recognized and measured automatically.

Software generates reports and sends them by request to a server or to e-mail address.
The video image is displayed on the PC screen and it can be recorded to the disk in real-time. The recorded stream can be viewed in any PC running the offline version software.
Simsonar FC Application is Windows application handling the video stream from Simsonar FC camera. Stream is shown on PC display in real time. The moving objects are recognized and measured automatically.
